Washington State has many roadside markers along the highways. The Washington State Department of Transportation lists the “Historical Markers in Washington State” on its website. In addition, there are many “Heritage Markers” and other roadside markers in the state. I have located and photographed many of the markers. In some cases, the marker was not where the WSDOT website stated. As I locate and photograph roadside markers, I will create a page for each marker, along with its location and the text from the marker.
These are the markers I have located and photographed, listed in alphabetical order. A number in parentheses indicates what marker number it is on the WSDOT list. Markers without parentheses are not listed by WSDOT.
